Several villages flooded in Punjab, Sindh

Karachi: Several villages submerged due to heavy rains in Sindh and Punjab.

Heavy rains in Sindh have caused five cracks in the embankments of canals that pass through Golarchi Tehsil of Badin.

In several villages of Sindhri Tehsil of Sanghar, the walls of mud houses collapsed while in Tando Muhammad Khan the affected people left their homes for safer places.

In addition, more than 200 villages were submerged in rainwater.

In Layyah, 40 villages have inundated, while rice, sugarcane and cotton crops have been severely affected in Khushab and Rajanpur.
