Karachi: Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar has said that the Constitution allows to even create 20 new provinces.
In an exclusive interview with a local TV, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar said that no written agreement has been reached between PTI, PPP and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) at the Governor House. Only the targets to address the issues of Karachi came under discussion during the meeting, he added.
The mayor said that reservations were also raised on the Sindh Local Government Act during the meeting at the Governor House.
He said that in the first phase, it has been decided to remove the encroachments from the drains, now the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) will take forward the development work in the city.
