Karachi: The Sindh government has imposed the Section 144, banning pillion riding on motorcycles during Muharram.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the Section 144 has been implemented in view of security on the occasion of Muharram.
Under the Section 144, pillion riding on motorcycles will be banned in the province from 1st Muharram to 10th Muharram.
According to the notification, the display and carrying of arms will also be banned in the province and the licence to carry arms will be revoked from 1st to 10th Muharram.
From 1st to 10th Muharram, gatherings of 5 people, hateful wall chalking, provocative speeches and recordings will also be banned in the province, while aerial firing and meetings and gatherings without permission have also been banned.
