Mothers will get Rs2, 000 on birth of baby girls, Rs1, 500 on boys’ birth in Pakistan

Islamabad: A mother will get Rs2, 000 on the birth of a baby girl while Rs1, 500 on giving birth to a baby boy after every three months.

This was announced by Dr. Sania Nishtar, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Social Security and Chairperson of Ehsas Program here on Wednesday while addressing a presser.

She said that the Ehsas Development Program has been launched at 33 centers in 9 districts of the country.

Sania Nishtar said that a new program of Ehsas program is being launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from tomorrow in which the Prime Minister will also participate.

This program is related to malnutrition, she added.

The Special Assistant said that under the Ehsas Development Program, two children would be supported in a family and mothers would get Rs1500 for a boy and Rs2, 000 for a girl child after every three months.

She said that women will benefit from this program for 15 months after the birth of a child.

In this connection, a memorandum has been signed with all the provincial governments, she added.
