PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transport Minster Shah Mohammad Wazir has sent a BRT travel card to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for criticizing the Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project.
Talking to a local TV, the KP transport minister said that Bilawal Bhutto has been sent a bus travel card of BRT.
He invited Bilawal Bhutto to come and take a tour of BRT. We will show him that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made BRT for the people, Wazir added.
Later, the transport minister said sarcastically that he hoped that the Sindh government would also send him a green bus card.
He further said that in fact the BRT project was not being digested by the opposition.
He said that BRT was to be completed in June 2021. We have completed a year earlier. As soon as the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gives the signal, it will be inaugurated.
It may be recalled that the transport project in Peshawar was started by former Chief Minister Pervez Khattak during the last PTI government which has not been completed despite several dates.
