Lahore: PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif termed the statement of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi regarding Saudi Arabia as irresponsible.
In his statement on Friday, Shahbaz Sharif said that irresponsible statement regarding Saudi Arabia, which is Pakistan’s eternal friend, was regrettable, reprehensible and against the national interests.
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a historic fraternal relationship based on strategic and mutual trust, adding that Saudi Arabia stood by Pakistan and its national interests at every difficult time including nuclear blasts.
He said that the nation was concerned over the current government’s relationship with Saudi Arabia and its style of expression, which is contrary to national interests.
