Peshawar: The distribution of travel cards among the citizens for traveling in Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses is underway but when the bus service will begin no one knows.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to distribute a total of 100,000 travel cards.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Local Government Kamran Bangash also reached BRT Gulbahar station and stood in queue to get a card for traveling in BRT.
Kamran Bangash said that the good news of inauguration of BRT will be announced soon.
It may be recalled that the distribution of travel cards of BRT buses has started but when the bus service will start, no date has been announced by the government so far.
Recently, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Labour Minister Shaukat Yousafzai while talking to the media had expressed hope that BRT would be inaugurated in August.
