Dozens injured in grenade attack on JI’s Kashmir rally

Karachi: At least 25 people, including women and children, were injured in a grenade attack on a Jamaat-e-Islami’s Kashmir Solidarity Rally here in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Wednesday.

According to police, unknown assailants threw a grenade from a moving vehicle near the rally and managed to escape.

According to eyewitnesses, several people were injured in the blast and a stempede caused by the explosion.

According to SSP East Sajid Amir Saduzai, unknown attackers threw the grenade at a rally in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and fled.

He said that five people were injured in the blast, while a spokesman for the Sindh Health Department said the number of injured was close to 25.
