Lahore: Heavy rain lashed the Lahore city on Sunday.
The rain continued in different parts of Lahore from 7.30 am to 9.30 am where 63 mm rain was recorded in the inner city.
According to the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall of 71 mm was recorded in Tajpura, 69 mm in Lakshmi Chowk, 65 mm in Farrukhabad, 50 mm in Airport, 47 mm in Gulshan-e-Ravi and 42 mm in Nishtar Town.
The rains inundated low-lying areas in the city and submerged several roads, while people are also facing difficulties in sacrificing animals on the second day of Eid.
WASA officials claim that the rainwater will be cleared in an hour.
