Karachi: Muslims across the country taking precautionery measures offered the prayers and sacrificed animals to mark the festival of Eidul Azha.
Eid prayers were were held at mosques and Eidgahs across the country.
On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the progress, peace and wellbeing of the country.
In the federal capital, the main Eid congregation was held at the Faisal Mosque while in Lahore the biggest Eid congregation was organised at the Badshahi Masjid.
After offering the Eid prayers, the faithful are sacrificing the animals to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim A. S.
In their separate messages, President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have urged the nation to observe precautionery measures while sacrificing animals and celebrating the festival.
They appealed to the masses to take care of poor and needy on the Eid.
