ISLAMABAD: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has defaulted several domestic and international airlines and departments for non-submission of tax challans.
The CAA has also issued letters to the airlines, entities and companies that have not submitted tax invoices.
The list of defaulters in the letter includes 397 airlines, flying clubs, embassies and aviation services.
The list of airlines includes Air France, Charter, British Air. Also included are Air Canada, Qatar Air, Emirates, Etihad Air, Gulf Air, Turkish Airlines.
Bangladesh, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, China, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Japan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Norway and Sri Lanka are also on the CAA’s list.
The embassies of Thailand, South Africa, Ethiopia, Russia, New Zealand, Germany and Spain are also on the said default list.
The CAA has also included Lahore, Peshawar, Multan Flying Clubs, Karachi Aero Club and Shaheen Flying Club Faisalabad in the default list.
Besides, Edhi Foundation, Serene Air, Air Blue, Askari Air, Punjab government, Sindh government and Balochistan government are also tax defaulters of civil aviation.
The CAA says that these departments have not submitted the tax payment challans for the bills for the financial year 20-2019, therefore they have been directed to submit the tax payment challans for the financial year 20-2019 as soon as possible.
