ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that an attempt was made to gain dictatorial powers in the name of Financial Action Task Force (FATF), adding that problems were arising due to government’s ego and dictatorial thinking.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Bilawal Bhutto said that the FATF and NAB laws are being linked with NRO. We are not interested in any NRO, we will not allow any legislation against the rights of Pakistanis, he added.
He said that after the decision of Justice Maqbool Baqir, NAB and democracy could not go hand in hand. Imran Khan himself enjoyed the amnesty the most. The puppet prime minister was hiding behind the stay order and efforts were being made to fool the people.
The PPP chairman said that the speaker should follow the rules in the assembly as the bill was made controversial because of an ego. The government wants the opposition not to speak in the assembly.
He said that neither his voice nor that of the opposition can be silenced.
