Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has decided to maintain the ban on the online game ‘PubG’.

The PTA officials are of the view that the Islamabad High Court had not ordered the lifting of the ban on PubG but directed to release details of the PTA’s July 1 ban order.

The officials said that 109 complaints and requests to close the game were received from parents and citizens, after which the PTA issued order to ban the online game.

Last week, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had lifted the ban on online game PubG and ordered its reinstatement.

Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court, while ruling on the petition against the ban on Pub G, had ordered to restore the game.
