Pakistanis in UAE warned against holding protest rallies

ISLAMABAD: The UAE will give preference to Pakistanis in the employment in the post-Covid-19 situation.

This was stated by Special Assistant to PM for Overseas Pakistani Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis on Saturday.

In this connection, the statement added, the UAE authorities had reassured the Special Assistant to PM Sayed Zulfikar Bukhari.

Pakistan and the UAE will protect the rights of the Pakistani community working in the Emirates, Bukhari said.

He said that about 75,000 Pakistanis had been repatriated from the UAE via 300 flights during the pandemic.
