KARACHI: Zia-ur-Rehman, the brother of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been posted as a Deputy Commissioner Central District in Karachi.
The Sindh government has issued a notification according to which Zia-ur-Rehman has been posted as DC Central in place of Farhan Ghani.
Zia-ur-Rehman belongs to the Provincial Management Service of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Zia-ur-Rehman’s services were handed over to the Sindh government and he has been re-appointed as Deputy Commissioner Central.
Former DC Central Farhan Ghani has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary Local Government.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan has announced to file a petition against the Sindh government for appointing Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman as Deputy Commissioner in Karachi.
