KARACHI: The Sindh Police’s mobiles and armored personnel carriers (APC) are being repaired at a private workshop in the city, it is revealed.
Karachi police have compromised on the security of citizens as police mobiles and armored are being repaired at a private workshops.
A local TV reported that the mobiles and APCs were found being repaired at a workshop in Sachal Goth. It was revealed that the police stations were getting these vehicles repaired from the private workshop through black money.
The police vehicles belonged to New Karachi and Surjani Town police stations were found being repaired at the workshop in Sachal Goth. The APCs were also seen parked at the said workshop.
According to the workshop management, these police vehicles had been parked at the workshop for several months.
On the other hand, senior officials said that according to police rules, mobile phones cannot be handed over to the civilians. The department has its own workshop for repairing police vehicles.
