KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman on Tuesday urged the masses to support his party for the better future of their children and against the tyranny of K-Electric.
The JI leader was addressing a sit-in against the KE’s unannounced loadshedding and over-billing here.
Hafiz Naeem appealed to the citizens to besiege the Chief Minister House, Governor House and other important places after the Eid over poor performance of the KE.
He said that the power distribution company had been tormenting the citizens in the name of maintenance. The MQM-P is sitting in the federal cabinet but it did not oppose the anti-Karachi decision regarding the hike in KE tariff.
“We want to build pressure in the courts through public pressure,” the JI leader said, adding that the moment will be carry forwarded phase-wise.
