Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said that not taking action against the sugar mafia despite the Supreme Court order is a proof of government’s weakness.
The behaviour of the rulers shows they themselves are lawyers of the mafias. Sugar and wheat mafias are satisfied that there will be no action against them as their facilitators are present in the cabinet, the JI chief said while addressing at various gatherings here.
He said that the government had earlier promised to build five million houses but is now giving loans having interest to masses for homes. This is the worst joke with the homeless people.
Siraj said that during the past 22 months the government had taken loans more than the previous governments were used to take in five years.
