KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Anti-Corruption, Industries & Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo has said that due to incompetence of selected Prime Minister and his selected ministers, the country’s economy is in bad shape today and people have been suffering due to their poor policies and inflation and facing severe difficulties.
It is a matter of concern for us that after the Bengali currency (Taka) , the rate of a war-torn Afghan currency has now become 2 rupees 17 paise against the Pakistani rupee.
He said this while visiting different areas of Ghotki district and talking to media persons here on Sunday.
The minister also offered fateha on the death of the brother of Ghotki Tehsil Chairman Syed Nadir Ali Shah Jilani. Later he visited Village Sahib Khan Lund Tehsil Mirpur Mathelo and offered Fateha on the death of brother of PPP District President Mir Babar Khan Lund and Sardar Fayyaz Khan Lund. In Maulvi Qamaruddin , he offered and condolences to Aftab Rak.
Meanwhile, Dharijo attended a luncheon, hosted by District Councilor Dadan Khan Mehr. Expressing his views at various places, he said that the rights of Sindh were being constantly robbed. Gas and electricity load shedding had bankrupted the country’s economy. He further said that the industrial class was facing severe difficulties but the rulers did not care. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said that those who came through the back door gave nothing but false promises and words to the people. Now the scale of patience of the people is full.
He said that the Sindh government was taking effective steps for industrial development in the province within its resources which would create new employment opportunities.
