Karachi: There will be no loadshedding in Karachi from tomorrow (Sunday), says the federal planning minister.

Speaking to the media outside the K-Electric headoffice where the PTI lawmakers and workers were protesting agains the KE on Saturday, Asad Umar said that the additional power supply to the city would reach 1,350MW aftet two years. The supply will increase every year, he added.

He said that the Sui Southern Gas Company had increased gas supply to 290 million cubic feet to the KE.

Umar said that the Nepra would issue its report on loadshedding in Karachi in three to four days.

He added that the government was ready to implement upon the Nepra decision regarding loadshedding in the port city.

Later, the PTI ended its protest against the KE.
