Islamabad: Federal Minister for Power Division Omar Ayub on Thursday announced to provide additional 200 megwatts to the K-Electric.
Responding to a calling attention notice regarding unnanounced loadshedding in Karachi in the parliament, the federal minister said that the problem of K-Electric is not new. The power company needs more electricity from the national grid. We will provide additional 200MW to the company as it is our responsibility to address its issues.
He said that two more grid stations would be built in Karachi. The government has been closely monitoring the K-E affairs and is taking special measures to address the problems being faced by the people of Karachi.
He questioned why is K-E not implementing on the agreement.
The member of Nepra from Sindh is not using his authority, he added.
