LONDON: Pakistan cricket team will arrive here on Sunday to play three Tests and as many T20Is.
Earlier this week, the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB had said that 10 players and a support staff member tested positive for coronavirus.
But the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said that Pakistan team would arrive on Sunday with a coronavirus testing programme in place.
All-rounder Muhammad Hafeez had said on Tuesday that he had tested negative for coronavirus, a day after the PCB named him among the players who tested positive.
In a message posted in Twitter, the all-rounder, who had earlier tested positive for the virus according to the Pakistan Cricket Board medical tests, said that he and his family as a second opinion got themselves tested from a private laboratory. Alhamdolillah our reports came back negative.
Coronavirus has badly hit Britain with over 43,000 deaths from the virus.
