KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said on Friday that the ongoing loadshedding would end in the next 48 hours in Karachi.
Following a meeting with the K-Electric CEO Moonis Abdullah earlier in the day, the governor in a message posted on Twitter said that loadshedding would start reducing after 24 hours.
Fed Govt to provide addl furnace oil to KE through HUBCO/PSO. Moreover, an addl 500 MW electricity to KE in addition to 650 MW can not be utilized because of non-upgradation of system to handle. Loadshedding will start reducing after after 24 hours and will end in next 48 hrs.

During the meeting, the governor voiced his anger over the unannounced loadshedding in the city.
He said that despite supply of additional gas from the centre to KE the situation is very worrying.
Ismail said that additional furnace oil would be provided from Hubco to K-Electric.
He said that the centre is already providing 650MW and is also ready to provide additional 500 megawatts to the power company to provide relief to citizens.
