ISLAMABAD: Following the recent disclosures of PTI’s infighting by Fawad Chaudhry, PTI stalwarts Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi have urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to remove the science minister from the cabinet.
A local TV citing sources said that both the leaders had called on the prime minister and asked him to take resignation from Fawad Chaudhry.
They said that Fawad had given an impression in the interview that we are behind all the failures.
They clarified to the prime minister that they had not conspired against Jehangir Tareen.
They were of the view that if no action is taken against the science minister it will create an impression of a weakness.
In a recent with Voice of America (VOA), Fawad Chaudhry claimed that first Jehangir Tareen had got Asad Umar expelled from the cabinet and then Umar avenged.
He said that the real political class had come out of the PTI as a result of differences among Tareen, Umar and Qureshi when the government was formed. And, this vacuum was filled in the party by the bureaucrats who had nothing to do with the politics. These elements are neither compatible with the ideology of PM Imran nor they are capable.
Fawad said that masses had elected Imran Khan to reform the entire system. I don’t know who had advised him to appoint weak people who take dictation, the federal minister added.
