LAHORE: All-rounder Muhammad Hafeez said on Tuesday that he had tested negative for coronavirus.
In a message posted in Twitter, the all-rounder, who had earlier tested positive for the virus according to the Pakistan Cricket Board medical tests, said that he and his family as a second opinion got themselves tested from a private laboratory. Alhamdolillah our reports came back negative.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board had said that seven members of the Pakistan’s 29-player squad announced for the upcoming England tour tested positive for coronavirus.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan, in a video conference, said that seven more players including Muhammad Hafeez, Kashif Bhatti, Fakhar Zaman, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Husnain and Imran Khan have contracted the coronavirus.
The PCB had tested 35 players and officials for the Covid-19 ahead of the tour to England in Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar.
