Asad Umar shifted to hospital from courtroom after experiencing chest pain

ISLAMABAD: Planning Minister Asad Umar on Thursday said that there should not be any politics over the coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing a presser here, the federal minister said that the availability of oxygen beds were being ensured.

“2,150 oxygen beds would be added by the end of July,” Umar said.

He added: “Both the centre and the provinces are jointly making efforts to fight the pandemic.”

The federal minister said that the next few weeks are very important. He asked people to fight the pandemic together with the government by following the standard operating procedures SOPs.

He told the media that the virus was spreading rapidly in 20 cities.
