LADAKH: The death toll of Indian troops from the clashes with Chinese army has risen to 20 in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley on Tuesday.
According to Indian wire service ANI, at least 17 Indian soldiers were injured in violent clashes with Chinese troops on the night of June 15/16 June.

Later, the injured soldiers succumbed to their injuries in sub-zero temperatures at high altitude terrain.
The news agency said that the Indian and Chinese troops have disengaged at Galwan area where they had earlier clashed on the night of 15/16 June.
Earlier, an Indian colonel and two soldiers were killed and 17 injured in a violent physical clash with the Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley on Monday night.
No arms were used in the physical fight which also involved batons and stones, India media reported citing military sources.
Indian army statement claims that casualties were also occurred on the Chinese side.
The Chinese foreign ministry has asked India not to take unilateral actions or stir up troubles.
Zhao Lijian, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson had told reporters on Monday that the Indian soldiers twice crossed the border.
