ISLAMABAD: A 5.7 magnitude earthquake jolted Rawalpindi and other parts of the country, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) in Islamabad on Tuesday morning.
According to details, the tremors were felt in Rawalpindi, Mansehra, Shangla, Swabi, Chilas and adjoining areas.
The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 112 kilometers. the NSMC says.
People ran out of their homes reciting the Kalima Tayyiba and gathered onto the streets as the earthquake tremors were felt.
According to the initial reports, no loss of live was reported from any quake-hit part.
