ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has recommended to impose a smart lockdown in 20 cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.

The NCOC has identified the 20 districts/cities through the tack and trace system of ISI.

During the NCOC’s meeting today, the decision of smart lockdown was taken in line with the guidelines of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In this connection, the provinces were given a policy on the smart lockdown to create awareness about the hotspot centres.

Under the smart lockdown, the affected areas will be sealed and the testing and treatment facilities would be provided there. However, others areas in these cities will remain open.
