Former captain Shahid Khan Afridi contracts coronavirus

KARACHI: Former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi contracted coronavirus infection.

The former captain has confirmed on the social media that he had tested positive for coronavirus.

He said that he had got himself tested after he was feeling body aches since Thursday.

Afridi requested his fans to pray for his early recovery.

Last week, Taufeeq Umar, the Pakistan’s former opening batsman had fully recovered from the coronavirus infection.

The former opening batsman had contracted the virus last month.

Speaking to a local TV, he said that his test had come back negative after two weeks of isolation.

He said that the Allah had been very kind to him, adding that he is fully recovered now.

Umar asked his fans to follow safety precautions to prevent from the virus.
