ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said that he would personally monitor the implementation of the standard operating procedures SOPs across the country from the PM Office.

He stated this while addressing to the nation on the coronavirus situation.

I would personally monitor and use the respective administration to implement the safety guidelines in the country. Wherever, I found violation of SOPs that sector, area or market would be closed,  the prime minister warned.

We will also use the Tiger Force to take action against violators of SOPs, he added.

Imran said that it is our national duty to follow the safety guidelines to limit the spread of the virus.

He said: “We had only two testing laboratories when the pandemic broke out, now we have 107.”

He said that the government was making effort to add 2000 beds to the existing hospitals.
