Jamaat-e-Islami provides free petrol to citizens

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami has provided petrol to citizens free-of-cost during a protest against the shortage of fuel in the city.

According to media reports, the JI adopted a unique way to protest shortage of petrol by providing free-of-cost fuel to motorcyclists and labourers.

A large number of citizens had benefited from the free provision of petrol.

The protest was held at Lahore’s PP-168.

The citizens said that they had been running from pillar to post in search of petrol. They added that the government was responsible for this crisis, causing a loss to masses.

JI Deputy Secretary Jehangir Aisar said that prices of petrol had reduced worldwide but its is not available for people in Pakistan. No one is ready to take notice of the problem being faced by masses.

On the occasion, the citizens raised slogans in favour of Jamaat-e-Islami.
