LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Liaquat Baloch on Tuesday said the committee investigating into the sugar crisis had given protection to the prime minister and some federal ministers.

He said the petrol crisis had exposed that the government system is corrupt and paralysed.

The JI leader said that the wheat crisis report is still pending.

Baloch said that PM Imran Khan, Punjab CM Buzdar and federal ministers were responsible for allowing subsidy on sugar. He alleged that the inquiry committee had given protection to them.

He said that the federal and provincial governments had failed to deal with the coronavirus.
