Ertugrul’s statue erected on Lahore’s Multan Road

LAHORE: The people of Lahore are so smitten by the world popular Turkish drama series Ertugrul that they have erected a statue of its hero Ertugrul in the city.

Dirilis: Ertugrul, known as Ertugrul Ghazi in Pakistan is being broadcast daily on the Pakistan Television on the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan since the first of Ramazan.

To pay a tribute to the leading character of the series Ertugrul, the community members have erected his statue along the city’s Multan Road in the Maraghzar Housing Scheme.

The statue of warrior Ertugrul is seen riding a horse and carrying a sword.

An official of the housing scheme said that the statues have been made with metal and fibre. He added that these are manufacture in Toba Tek Singh and Kamalia cities.

He said that we have named this place as “Ertugrul Ghazi Chowk”.

He said that another statue of Ertugrul would soon be erected at the central location in Lahore.
