LAHORE: The head of International Player Development at the PCB High Performance Centre, Saqlain Mushtaq has said that his aim was to make the Pakistan team the world’s number one squad.
He said that the coaches and the high performance centre would have to work together to achieve this target.
The National Cricket Academy in Lahore has now become the High Performance Centre, where former spinner Saqlain Mushtaq had been appointed as head of International Player Development.
The inventor of ‘dosra’ in the international cricket, Saqlain Mushtaq said that becoming a part of Pakistan cricket again is an honour for him.
I am lucky that once again I have become part of the Pakistan cricket, he added.
He said that a good vision had been envisaged for the player development.
My job is to bring new players from the grass root level and to polish the existing ones, the former spinner said.
