KARACHI: The Jamaat-e-Islami has urged the Sindh government to immediately impose health emergency in the province against the Covid-19.

The demand was made by JI Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing a presser alongside doctors at the party’s headquarters Idara Noor e Haq on Thursday.

Hafiz Naeem said that the number of ventilators and beds should be increased at all the hospitals in the province.

The JI leader added that the Central Help Centres and Coronavirus Awareness Desks should also be established at the hospitals.

He said that instead of salute and medals the front line doctors and paramedics should be provided safety kits.

On the occasion, the JI leader said that the deduction in salaries of doctors at the private hospitals is an injustice.

He said that the doctors should be given bonuses alongwith the salaries under this emergency situation.
