The 138th birth anniversary of philosopher poet and the conceiver of idea of Pakistan, Allama Doctor Muhammad Iqbal will be observed across the globe on Monday by his followers and fans.
Various literary, educational, political, social and cultural organizations have chalked special programmes to pay homage to the national poet.
Pakistan Academy of Letters Islamabad is organizing a function in connection with Iqbal Day tomorrow. Renowned poets, literary persons and intellectuals will participate in the function.
Sir Muhammad Iqbal who died on 21 April 1938 is widely known as Allama Iqbal, was a poet, philosopher, and politician, he was also an academic, barrister and scholar in British India who is widely regarded as having inspired the Pakistan Movement. He is considered one of the most important figures in Urdu literature, with literary work in both the Urdu and Persian languages.
