ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said at least 138 National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officers has been fired while several are under arrest.
Chaudhry Nisar talking to media said he will carry out clean up operation in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and NADRA as well.
He said NADRA set up under essential services act and it has sensitive information. The detained and fired officers were issuing passports to foreigners.
Not a single person will be given a safe exit whose name is in ECL list, he added.
Nisar also inaugurated Passport SMS service which will allow the applicant to receive every information on his phone via SMS.
