KARACHI: As many as 120 prisoners were released from Karachi central Jail and the Malir district jail.
Several under trial prisoners had sent their applications to district and sessions judges expressing their willingness to enter a plea, grant of bail and reduction in the amount of surety.
The sessions judges referred the applications to the magistrates concerned directing them to visit the prisons and dispose of the pleas before Eid.
They were released on Saturday.
