PESHAWAR: At least 300 suspected people including 120 Afghan nationals were rounded up by police during a search operation against anti-social elements in Peshawar’s suburb areas here on Monday.
According to police, search and strike operation were conducted in Hayatabad, Sarband, Hashtnagri and suburb areas of the provincial capital during which at least 300 suspected persons were rounded up.
Police also recovered 13 rifles, 12 pistols and at least 1,500 rounds from the suspects’ possessions.
The nabbed suspects included 120 Afghan nationals who were illegally residing in these areas.
