Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the House that 73 new regional passport offices will be established across the country during the next one year to facilitate the people.
Nisar Ali Khan said when he took over the Ministry there was a backlog of five hundred thousand passports which was cleared in two months. He said action is being taken against corrupt people in NADRA and Directorate of Immigration and Passports.
He said services of over two hundred corrupt employees of NADRA have been dismissed during the last one year. He said one hundred thousand fake ID cards have also been blocked during last year and action is being taken against the responsible persons.
The Minister said 13 mega NADRA centers are also being set up in the country where prompt and international standard service will be provided.
