KARACHI: Karachi’s infrastructure can be improved with $10 billion, says a spokesperson for the Sindh government on Tuesday.

In a message posted on Twitter, Murtaza Wahab said that the deputy commissioners have been directed to estimate the losses caused by the rains.

He said that he would share the report on the estimated losses once it is released.

Shibli Faraz is doing his job as he does not know about the funds of Karachi, the spokesperson said.

I request to the prime minister to release the 162-billion-rupee package he had promised for Karachi. The World Bank had in its report said that $10 billion were required for improving the infrastructure of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab recalled.
